Workshop Description

The goal of this workshop is to provide a comprehensive review of the recommendations given in TRS-398 for the calibrations of high energy photon and electron beams. The discussion will include, but is not limited to,
  1. Primary and secondary standards of air-kerma and absorbed dose to water
  2. Cavity theory
  3. Absorbed dose to water based formalism
  4. Implementation of absorbed dose to water based formalism
  5. Calibration of High energy photon and electron beams

Target Group

This workshop is aimed at radiation physicists interested in the process of Reference Dosimetry. Basic knowledge of radiation oncology and radiation physics is a prerequisite. Experience with radiation detectors and ionization chamber in particular will be an asset.

Note: Limited number of participants will be taken for this practical workshop. Priority selection criteria will be followed (matching needs of clinics and first come first serve basis).
