Overview:

The medical physics track focuses on education, innovations and clinical implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in the field’s three main areas: radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine. It features more than fifty lectures including multi-disciplinary topics, ten virtual workshops, four review courses, a special session on Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) organized with the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA), and a special session on radiation medicine by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Topics:

• Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRL) in diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine
• Applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiation medicine
• Innovations in image-guided external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy
• Optimization of imaging protocols in diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine
• Review of latest AAPM task group reports in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine and radiation oncology
• Quality assurance, dosimetry and statistical processes in radiation medicine
• Review courses:
   - Diagnostic Imaging Physics Review Course
   - Radiotherapy Physics Review Course
